Renée Azenaro is an artist, curator, arts educator, and exhibiting artist from Brooklyn, New York. Presently, she is an Associate Professor of Art at Crafton Hills College. Renée received her M.F.A. in Fine Arts at Vermont College, a B.S. in Fine Arts from City University of New York (C.U.N.Y.), and an A.A. in Fine Arts at Kingsborough Community College, Brooklyn, New York.

Her art practice includes sculpture, installation, mixed-media, painting, printmaking, photography, and sound and performance works, which have been exhibited nationally and abroad.

As an artist educator, in addition to higher education, Renée has developed and taught within urban art programs for senior citizens, foster children, homeless children and their families, urban housing centers, and within inter- generational art programs in under-served communities throughout New York City and California. She has been on the art faculty and served as gallery curator in private colleges at Warren Wilson College, North Carolina, the Sage Colleges, New York and at the University of Redlands, California.

Her experiences within socially active organizations as director of art programs and art instructor in New York City include Henry Street Settlement House, Children’s Aid Society, Catholic Charities Organization. Within the Inland Empire, she has worked with the Boys and Girls Club, and Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County, and teaches in the summer arts program at Idyllwild Arts.
