Miles That Matter Scholarship
From Diploma to Degree: Crossing the Finish Line for Adult School Students
For many adult school students, earning a high school diploma or equivalency is a
goal that requires sacrifice, perseverance, and overcoming significant obstacles.
Higher education may not even feel within reach, but that doesn’t mean it should be
out of reach.
This year, colleagues from Crafton Hills College are taking on a challenge of their own: training with the Loma Linda Lopers Club to run the 2027 LA Marathon while raising money to help adult school students take their next step and transition in community college.
We are running for more than a finish line. We’re running to create educational opportunities for resilient adult learners and to remind them that they are not alone in their academic journey.
Join Us in the Race
You don’t have to run a marathon to make a difference, although you’re more than welcome to join us! Every mile we run represents a student taking another step forward in their educational journey. And every dollar raised helps remove barriers for students who are motivated to build a better future for themselves and their families.
Our goal is to raise $12,500 to establish an endowed scholarship, creating a lasting source of support for adult school students continuing their education at Crafton Hills College.
Every gift moves us closer to the finish line. Consider sponsoring a runner at $10 per mile, a gift of $260, or make a gift at any level that is meaningful to you.
Together, we can cross the finish line and help generations of future Roadrunners reach one of their own.
