Vitac Live Captions & Notes

Verbit is a very easy to use state-of-the-art live closed-captioning and scribe-note-taking / trascription tool for SAS students who qualify. Verbit is a web-based or desktop application that provides live, interactive transcripts and captions within Zoom. The application supports CHC SAS in ensuring our qualifying student's online courses are delivered effectively to comply with ADA requirements and offer better Zoom engagement.

How It Works

Vitac provides seamless real-time captions, as well as live, interactive transcription of a student's classes.
It provides students with a real-time feed of what the teacher or class peers are saying, with note taking abilities through an interactive transcript and more.

Vitac provides it's Users With:

  • Quick live captions and accurate transcription side-by-side
  • Interactive transcripts with highlighting and note-taking
  • Options to download the transcript
  • Speed Mode and Accuracy Mode
  • Customizable colors, font styles and font sizes
  • Sharing recordings and notes with classmates

What Students Must Do to Get Vitac Captioning /Notes 

  1. Schedule and attend virtual Vitac Traiaing with Suzanne Delahanty.
  2. Email your SAS accommodation notification form to your instructor(s) via your official school email. Also request their course's Zoom link and password.
    NOTE: This should be done as soon as you register, to allow for 1 week advance notice, as required for all live captioning requests.
  3.  Email a legible copy of your class schedule info from WebAdvisor and all your online class Zoom links & password(s) to Suzanne Delahanty immediately so she can "book" live captioners for all of your Live class sessions. Students may also submit online request forms for captioning now using the following link here!
