As part of the partnership between the adult schools and the college. Crafton Hills is offering differ- ent programs at the adult school campuses.

Non-Credit Programs (FREE Programs)

These courses can help students obtain the tools needed to succeed in the workplace or school. Any- one can enroll in non-credit courses since they are technically free. Some of the classes can help stu- dents complete high school diploma credits or advance in their current jobs.

Workforce Preparation Certificate

Designed to provide employees with workplace traits and skills to succeed in their jobs. Topics in the program focus on:

  • Problem solving and cognitive skills
  • Customer service strategies to increase employability
  • Workplace attire, attitude, ethics, and verbal communication
  • Job search strategies: resume, cover letters, interviewing, and post follow-ups The receive the certificate, students must complete all four classes:
  • WFP/N-601: Essential Workplace Traits and Skills
  • WFP/N-602: Essential Customer Service
  • WFP/N-603: Essential Skills for New Employees
  • WFP/N-608: Essential Skills for Job Search

Basic Computer Class (WFP/N-604: Essential Workplace Computer Skills)

Learn essential traits and skills needed to succeed at the workplace and school:

  • Basic computer hardware
  • Operating systems
  • Workplace applications
  • Web browsers

Credit Program (Financial Aid Available)

These programs can facilitate the transition between adult school to college. We give priority to students from the adult schools, but the programs are open for community members as well.
Summer Bridge Program
The perfect program for those students who are graduating or close to graduate from the adult school. The program consist on a class called “Student Success and the College Experience” (COUN 100). Benefits of the program include:

  • Gain skills to be a successful student  
  • Academic/Career/Personal Counseling
  • Earn transfer level credits to (UC/CSU)
  • Free lunch, fieldtrip and workshops
  • Be part of the EOPS support network and other programs such as Free College Promise and DSPS (if applicable)

Business Management Certificate

A more accessible program for students who have full time jobs or are responsible for the care of family members. This programs brings the college classes closer to the communities at the local adult schools.

  • Take only two classes per semester
  • Attend class once a week and do the rest of the work online
  • Option to continue with a AA or AA-T
  • Start this program while working on your High School Diploma or Equivalency
