CHC has acquired a grant for free professional ADA compliant live video and audio
captioning and transcription services from VITAC. To get started using this easy to

LIVE Captioning for Zoom Meetings
"CART" Services (Communication Access Realtime Translations) For SAS students
VITAC provides Live Streaming captioning for synchronous Zoom meetings for all SAS students who require live captioning accomodations in your classes. Students access a VITAC web page to view captions while you present in your synchronous Zoom class meetings! Real people, not computers convert speech into text to ensure the text matches what’s being said. This all takes place using the internet to stream the words live to a student's laptops, tablets and smartphones. VITAC Cart provides access and inclusion anytime, anywhere.
If you have a deaf or HOH student that requires life captioning, please reach out immediately to your alternative media and assistive technology specialist to learn how to link your zoom meetings to the service. NOTE: Live captioning requires a minimum lead time of 10 business days.
