Enrollment Checklist - Crafton Hills College

​Enrolling in the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program at Crafton Hills College involves several key steps, including college admission, financial aid application, and course registration. Here's a comprehensive guide to assist you through the process:​

  1. Apply for Admission to Crafton Hills College:

    • Complete the online application through the college's application portal.​
    • After submission, you'll receive a student ID number and access to the student portal.​craftonhills.edu

  2. Apply for Financial Aid:

    • Complete the FAFSA: Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. Use Crafton Hills College's school code: 009272. This application determines your eligibility for federal and state financial aid.​ 
    • Monitor Your Financial Aid Status: After submission, log in to the Financial Aid Self-Service portal to check for any additional documents or steps required.​ 

  3. Complete Orientation:

    • Access and complete the online orientation through your Self-Service account. This orientation provides essential information about college resources and expectations

  4. Meet with a Counselor:

    • Schedule an appointment with a counselor to discuss your educational goals and develop a Student Education Plan (SEP). This ensures you're enrolling in the appropriate courses for your desired program.​

  5. Register for EMT Courses:

    • Check Registration Dates: Determine your registration date and time through the Self-Service portal.​
    • Register for Classes: On your assigned date, log in to Self-Service to enroll in the necessary EMT courses.​  You must enroll in all the courses associated with the particular day of the week that you want to attend.  Below is the list of days we offer and the classes you must enroll in.

    • Print Registration Statement: After registering, print your Registration Statement from Self-Service. This serves as your proof of enrollment and class schedule.​

  6. Prepare for Additional Program Requirements: (Will be discussed on the first day)

    • Uniforms and Equipment: Purchase the required uniforms and equipment as specified by the EMT program that will be discussed on the first day of class.
    • Health Requirements: Complete necessary health clearances, such as immunizations and tuberculosis testing that will be covered on the first day of class. 

  7. Attend Classes and Complete Training:

    • Begin attending your scheduled classes and actively participate in all training sessions.​
    • Successfully complete all coursework and practical training to be eligible for certification examinations.​
