Emile Diaz De Leon was hesitant to chase after his dreams under the weight of financial burdens.

He longed for a better life for his family of five but everywhere he turned, he was met with financial struggles. He dreamed of being a firefighter, but all he could think about was the monetary loss that he would face pursuing his dream rather than working
to support his family.

Then, the Crafton Hills College Foundation stepped in and his world changed. Emile received a scholarship that reduced his financial needs and allowed him to focus on his CHC Fire Academy studies. His confidence grew during the long days of physical training, classes, drills and exams. Achieving his ultimate-goal, Emile is now a Firefighter/EMT.
