Speaker:

As an activist for social justice and human rights, scholar, and local entrepreneur, Jordan Mack has nearly 10 years’ experience advocating for underrepresented and oppressed groups.

Mack is a Crafton alumnus and transfer student who now holds a bachelor’s of science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of California, Santa Cruz, which he earned in 2012.

He is an active community leader with a passion for civil service. Mack ran for city council in Yucaipa in 2016 and currently serves on the Yucaipa Mobilehome Rent Review Commission. He also volunteers in the Department of Student Life at Crafton Hills College.

 

Student Speaker:            

After graduating from high school, Keith Lane joined the United States Army where he served for almost nine years. Upon returning home, he went to school to become a barber and worked in the profession for 20 years before making the decision to come back to school. He came to Crafton Hills to earn his degree in history and is transferring to the University of California, Riverside to continue his studies in history and African Studies. Lane is the youngest of eight children and has three daughters of his own.
