Hello, Roadrunners. My name is Matthew Riddle. I look forward to serving our students here at Crafton Hills College in my role as a Completion Coach. I earned my AA in Sociology in the Spring of 2025. As I earn my BA in Sociology at the University of California, Riverside, I have the unique opportunity to develop professionally here in the University Transfer & Career Center, working with all of you. An opportunity that I do not take lightly. As a non-traditional, first-generation student, I have firsthand experience navigating the sometimes-daunting task of succeeding in community college; I hope to share that experience with you all through encouragement and guidance.

When I am not in class at UCR or working here at CHC, I am engaged in the local community in a broad range of capacities, from working with marginalized youth to serving local 12-step recovery communities. My call to service is a large part of what I value today. The rest of my time is spent with friends and family, or relaxing at home with my dog, Molly. I also enjoy self-reflection through spiritual exploration, museums, cinema, and theatre. My secret power is comedic poetry, and I believe in Bigfoot.

Through my education, I have adopted a growth mindset and accepted that I will remain in education throughout the rest of my life. My ambition is to continue to earn my Master's degree in Educational Counseling, and I genuinely believe that one day I will become Dr. Matt.
