Why choose this program?

Biology is the study of all living things, from microscopic organisms to human life. Because of the complexity and wide diversity of living organisms, the broad field of biology covers several different disciplines. Our curriculum covers anatomy and physiology, microbiology, ecology and the environment, cellular and molecular biology and more.

What will I experience?

  • Understand the processes and skills to conduct biological science research
  • Monitor and analyze experiments, calculate results, and scientifically develop conclusions based on evidence
  • Train to be a lab technician in biotechnology; assist biological and medical scientists in laboratories
  • Set up, operate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment

What opportunities might it lead to?

An associate of science degree in biology can lead to an eventual career in fields such as research, health care, applied/field biology, education, business and consulting, technology and communication. Courses can be the foundation for four-year college studies in various biology fields.
