Why choose this program?

Whenever you have an X-ray, you encounter a radiologic technologist, whether at a large hospital or small office. Work with physicians, radiologists and other health care professionals to prepare patients for examinations and X-rays. This is a fully accredited hospital-based 22 ½-month program sponsored by Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and affiliated with Crafton Hills College.

The most qualified students who have completed RADIOL 090, Survey of Radiologic Technology, as well as other requirements, will be selected for admission to the program. The program accepts eight students per year.

What will I experience?

Radiologic technologists are medical professionals who perform diagnostic imaging examinations. They are educated in anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, equipment protocols, radiation safety, radiation protection and basic patient care.

What opportunities might it lead to?

An associate in arts in radiological technology degree prepares you to become a competent practitioner in the field of radiography. Students who complete the program curriculum will be eligible to take the examinations prepared by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and Radiologic Health Section of the California State Department of Health, and for entry-level employment in radiography.
