Administrative Changes at CHC

In a memo on March 1, San Bernardino Community College District Chancellor Bruce Baron informed faculty and staff that Dr. Wei Zhou and Dr. Kathy Bakhit are on administrative leave effective immediately. In a statement to the press, Baron said,  “We thank them for their service at Crafton Hills College. However, it is SBCCD's policy not to comment on matters relating to personnel.”

At the direction of the SBCCD Board of Trustees, Chancellor Baron is working with faculty and staff to ensure Crafton Hills College students have the strong support they need to continue toward their educational and career goals. 

In the press statement, Baron also said, “Student success is our top priority. SBCCD will work with faculty, staff, students and community members to launch a national search to recruit a new campus president and vice president of instruction. We are committed to building on Crafton Hills College’s legacy of innovative workforce development programs and academic excellence.”
