Fifty students studying environmental science at the University of Southern California visited Crafton Hills College on November 26th to learn how the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of facilities across campus is sustainable. CHC is a working example of high-efficiency buildings, lean central plant operations, and solar energy production that is environmentally responsible and resource-efficient. District and College representatives Farrah Farzaneh, Yash Patel, Larry Cook, along with Martin Howell, Associate Principal at Energy – ARUP reviewed our sustainability plans, energy analytics, LEED-certified projects,  and took the students on a tour of the solar farm, central plant, and several buildings.
