Professor Ledoux’s Health class spent several hours cleaning, preparing, and planting the community garden. The community garden is a part of the COACH (creating opportunities and changing hearts) project which helps alleviate food insecurity through vegetables grown in the garden, a food pantry, and food vouchers. The community garden project also offers a space for students to learn outside, through hands-on activities, connect students to the foods that they eat, and gives health students opportunities to try new vegetables.
