THE ATLAS & AXIS COLLECTIVE Structural Support for Future Clinicians

Purpose

The Atlas & Axis Collective is a specialized academic society for students dedicated to a deeper immersion into the human body. We foster academic growth through inclusive, peer-led study groups that build the anatomical fluency required for future medical careers. The Vision: To inspire students to see their future patients as complex biological narratives, transforming A&P from an academic hurdle into a source of professional pride.

Activities

  • Anatomy Intensives (Lab Prep): High-impact review sessions held right before departmental lab practical's to help students grasp the material under timed conditions
  • Clinical Processing Sessions (Lecture Mastery): We move beyond memorization by breaking down complex systems ”like endocrine feedback loops or the cardiac cycle”using real-world medical case studies and diagnostic narratives.
  • We Are A&P" Speaker Series: We host local healthcare professionals to share how they use A&P daily in the field.
  • Structural Board Meetings: A monthly 90-minute strategy session where leadership coordinates resource allocation, syllabus alignment, and member outreach to ensure the club remains a top-tier academic resource.
  • The Neural Link: A bi-weekly digital newsletter featuring study tips, "clinical pearls," and club updates to keep our community connected and motivated.

Meeting Times: Every 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Tuesday at 2:45 p.m., 2nd Tuesday for board members
