Psychology Club

Purpose
: The Psychology Club is committed to creating an inclusive environment where members can grow personally and academically while contributing to the welfare and goodwill of others through outreach and service. We aim to cultivate collaboration, intellectual engagement, and supportive connections. We seek to inspire a lasting impact both within the college and beyond.Activities
The Psychology Club seeks to enhance the student experience through diverse programs and activities by building supportive relationships and contributing positively to the community with contributions that include:
*Holiday Community Service
*Hosting an annual Christmas party for EOPS children.
*Purchasing and wrapping presents, each labeled with a child's name.
Volunteering as Santa, elves, and helpers to run games, hand out gifts, and create a festive environment.
*Dedicating serval days and personal time to plan, organize, and deliver this event.
*Volunteering at the local food drives in Redlands to support families in need.
*Research & Academic Growth
Collaborating on psychology-related research projects.
*Currently working together with the Research Club on a leading multifaceted, long term research study that examines parasocial relationships, political engagement, global threat awareness, motivation, mental health, and academic performance. Building a sustainable, semester-semester dataset that will help future students and strengthen the academic reputation of Crafton Hills College.
*Discussing and sharing ideas in club meetings to deepen understanding of the field.
*Camaraderie & Support
* Creating a safe, welcoming environment where students can build friendships.
*Providing a supportive space where members know they have peers they can count on.
*Building bonds through fun, engaging club meetings and shared activities.
*Fundraising & Conferences
*Organizing fundraisers to support club activities and conference attendance.
*Attending professional conferences, such as those hosted by the Western Psychology Association (WPA).
*Community Involvement
*Extending our impact beyond campus through volunteer work and service projects.
*Making students feel included, valued, and a part of something bigger.
