—Found His Dream Career

I began attending Crafton in January of 2006. My initial time at Crafton was used to transfer to Cal State San Bernardino in September of 2009. In June 2011, I graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology at CSUSB. After about a year or so of not being sure what to do with my Bachelors in Psych. I returned to Crafton in May 2012 and began taking coursework to be able to apply for a health care program. So I began taking prerequisite courses at Crafton and Valley simultaneously. This continued through 2016 and my last course at Crafton was completed Summer 2016. I was able to complete all the necessary prerequisites to attend Azusa Pacific’s Bachelor of Science in Nursing program. I graduated with my BS in Nursing in May of 2018. After becoming a Registered Nurse, I was able to do all the traveling I had always dreamed of. I have had the opportunity to travel to China, Thailand, and Peru (a couple of times) all in the past year and a half.

I am now attending Maryville University’s Doctor of Nursing Practice in Psychiatric Mental Health. I will be finishing my Doctorate degree in August of 2022. My time at Crafton was incredibly valuable to me. Although when I first began my coursework, I wasn’t quite sure what it would lead to. But now looking back it enabled me to pursue my dreams and find my dream career. I am able to use both my bachelor's degrees in Psychology and Nursing. My plan is to be a Nurse Practitioner who specializes in working with children and adolescents once I receive my DNP degree.
