Yucaipa, CA – Crafton Hills College (CHC) graduated its 84th Fire Academy Class on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 6 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

This year’s 14 graduates are Logan Costello (Yucaipa), Shawn Garvin (Running Springs), Justin Hill (Riverside), Neil Houser (Calimesa), Tyler Jaquess (Highland), Corey Jones (Crestline), Kirsten Mann (Mentone), Matthew Marshall (Fontana), Joseph Miller (Yucaipa), James O’Brien (Lake Arrowhead), Thomas Okamura (Highland), Ryan Ortiz (Beaumont), Garrett Tobin (Rancho Cucamonga), and Gabriel Torres (Yucaipa).

The objective of this certificate is to develop the skills required for Firefighter I Certification and to develop teamwork, attitudes and public service commitment. The Firefighter I Basic Training Academy is approved by the California State Fire Marshal's Office as an accredited Regional Training Center. In conjunction with CAL FIRE, these graduates also earned a CAL FIRE Basic Wildland Fire Fighting Certification.
