Crafton Hills College Celebrates Foster Youth Awareness Month with Resource Fair
Publish Date: May 7, 2026
On Thursday, May 7, the NextUp Program hosted the Foster Youth Resource Fair in the CHC Quad as part of Foster Youth Awareness Month. The engaging and impactful event welcomed more than 300 students who visited resource tables, connected with staff, and learned about the support services available to current and former foster youth.
The primary goal of the event was to raise awareness about programs such as NextUp and EOPS, which provide comprehensive support for foster youth at Crafton Hills College. These programs offer a wide range of services, including counseling, textbook assistance, grants, laptops, academic supplies, meal vouchers and more. Representatives from EOPS and NextUp were available to answer questions and connect students with valuable campus resources. Throughout the event, students checked in to receive meal and raffle tickets, enjoyed lunch, and explored a variety of informational booths.
The Foster Youth Resource Fair provided a meaningful opportunity to uplift and support foster youth on campus. Each year, the CHC community recognizes the month of May as a time to raise awareness, celebrate resilience, and strengthen connections to vital resources that empower student success.
