Honors Recognition Reception

The Crafton Hills College Honors Institute celebrated the accomplishments of its students during the Honors Recognition Reception on April 30. The evening honored the hard work of Honors students completing the program in December 2025, May 2026 and August 2026. 

More than 40 students were recognized as Honors Institute completers, including December 2025 graduate Lucas Tomlinson and August 2026 completers Kaden Douglas and Alex Lara. The largest group of honorees included the May 2026 completers: Tala Alardah, Emma Alloway, Zygmund Anguiano, Carlos Arroyo, Hugo Ayala, Nicholas Beattie, Ava Bernard, Luis Castillo Gonzalez, Dailyn Chota, Allyson Cole, Hannah Danh, Mary Jane Dias, Nathan Foy, Dana Freeman, Ethan Flores, Savannah Flores, Jake Garrigus, Emalee George, Nariah Hill, Naviah Hill, Shameka Hill, Stephen Jenks, Jayla Judon, Alison Klemm, Sierra Mason, Lia McIntosh, Shogen Mikata, Rita Moore, Jeremiah Parhusip, Lisette Ruiz, Kyra Salladay, Socrates Sakellar, Jared Shaw, Kaelynn Ton, Cole Toquero, Harper Toquero, Zak Vallega, Andrea Velazco, Erica Victor, Malachi Williams and Matias Zapata. 

Several students were also recognized with prestigious scholarships and awards. Sierra Mason received the Raymond Pryke Memorial Honors Scholarship, Nicholas Beattie earned the Raymond Pryke Honors Achievement Scholarship, and Alison Klemm received the Daniel Bahner Memorial Scholarship.  
Honors Research Fellow Awards were presented to Nicholas Beattie, Sierra Mason, Lisette Ruiz, Savannah Flores, Lia McIntosh, Kyra Salladay, Jake Garrigus, Shogen Mikata, Erica Victor, Emalee George, Jeremiah Parhusip and Malachi Williams. Nicholas Beattie and Lisette Ruiz were recognized for earning more than 300 research points, while Erica Victor and Malachi Williams earned recognition for surpassing 200 research points. 

Volunteer Service Awards honored students for their contributions to campus and community service throughout the academic year. Gold awards were presented to Luis Castillo Gonzalez, Joe Corilla Lazo, and Jazmyn Garcia. Silver awards were presented to Dailyn Chota, Lia McIntosh and Lisette Ruiz, while bronze awards went to Alison Klemm, Giselle Cruz, Sierra Mason, Andrea Velazco and Erica Victor. 

The evening also recognized Honors ambassadors Sierra Mason, Tami Sherratt, Jazmyn Garcia and Alison Klemm for their leadership, outreach, and support of the Honors Institute community. 

Crafton Hills College congratulates all Honors students for their outstanding achievements and dedication during the 2025-2026 academic year.
