CHC Faculty Present ZTC Curriculum Research at National Conference

The Multilingual Program represented Crafton Hills College at the Two-Year College
Association (TYCA), held in conjunction with the National Conference on College Composition
and Communication (CCCC) on March 4, 2026. TYCA, an affiliated organization of CCCC,
takes place at the beginning of the national conference and focuses specifically on
needs, pedagogical approaches, and innovations of two-year college educators.
Members of the Multilingual ZTC Faculty Learning Community tasked with developing
zero textbook cost (ZTC) materials for the Multilingual Program presented alongside
researcher and curriculum consultant, Dr. Lyn Westergard. The presentations highlighted
aspects of their work, specifically the culturally-responsive ZTC/OER curriculum they
are developing and barriers to access and learning our students are facing under the
current political climate.
