The Multilingual Program at TYCA

The Multilingual Program represented Crafton Hills College at the Two-Year College Association (TYCA), held in conjunction with the National Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) on March 4, 2026.  TYCA, an affiliated organization of CCCC, takes place at the beginning of the national conference and focuses specifically on needs, pedagogical approaches, and innovations of two-year college educators.

Members of the Multilingual ZTC Faculty Learning Community tasked with developing zero textbook cost (ZTC) materials for the Multilingual Program presented alongside researcher and curriculum consultant, Dr. Lyn Westergard. The presentations highlighted aspects of their work, specifically the culturally-responsive ZTC/OER curriculum they are developing and barriers to access and learning our students are facing under the current political climate.
