Graduates

Crafton Hills College closed out its 2025 graduation season on a rad note.

On June 5, Crafton Hills College and Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) celebrated the accomplishments of 10 graduating students who completed its School of Radiological Technology requirements, in the hospital’s Oak Room, where a standing room only crowd cheered for their proud graduates.

Shannon Cundieff, the program’s interim director and ARMC’s radiology manager of medical imagining, couldn’t help but get emotional when it came to saying “Goodbye” to the Class of 2025, taking a second to reflect on the hard work the group put in.

“For me, personally, this class is the very first class I’ve watched from start to end,” she said. “I just kind of feel like they are my kids in a sense… and I feel responsible for them, and I am just really proud of what they’ve accomplished with everything they had to go through.

Like other Crafton graduation celebrations, the Rad Tech program adheres to tradition, which includes remarks from a program graduate—Jymuell Er Olivia Emock had the honor this year—and a video slideshow presentation highlighting long study sessions, bowling nights, and many amusing incidents.

Additional highlights included the awarding of honors and recognitions, with Alejandro Gonzalez Lopez receiving both the Cristi Hall/Michael Scott Award of Excellence and the Academic Achievement Award, while Lucia Rodriguez earned the Clinical Achievement Award. Rounding out this year’s class were:

  • Rachel Chavez
  • Kelli Gonzalez
  • Joshua Laube
  • Cindy Maese Andrade
  • Eva Moreno
  • Katlyn Nguyen
  • Kelsey Sanchez

Sanchez, who along with program grads, completed multiple certifications to kickstart their careers in healthcare. Seven of the 10 completed computed tomography (CT) certification, while two grads also earned certification in mammography. Sanchez completed all three certifications offered.

Crafton’s Rad Tech Program is a fully accredited hospital-based 22 ½ month-long program. Those who complete the program have learned human anatomy, patient positioning, examination techniques, and equipment protocols necessary to perform diagnostic imaging (i.e. X-Ray) examinations.
