Starting Fall 2025, Crafton Hills College will switch to a new course numbering system. This new system, called the Common Course Numbering (CCN) system, is a state-mandated initiative (AB-1111) aimed at simplifying student transfer and ensuring uniformity in course numbers across California Community Colleges. Courses identified as common will feature a "C" in their catalog numbers (e.g., ENGL 101 will become ENGL C1000). Some subject area prefixes will also change to align with statewide standards (e.g., POLIT will become POLS). For more details on the common course numbering system (CCN) students are encouraged to meet with an academic counselor.

Knowledge and skills of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for victims of all ages including ventilation devices, automated external defibrillator, and foreign-body airway obstruction. This course meets the current American Heart Association guidelines for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care at the healthcare provider level. Graded on a Pass or No Pass basis only.
- Credit Type: Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.

- Corequisites: EMS 020, EMS 021, and EMS 023.

- Note: Students must be at least 18 years of age at the time of registration. Students enrolling in this course will be attending as part of a cohort for the duration of the semester. Students must enroll, and remain enrolled, in the sections of EMS-020, EMS-021, EMS-022, EMS-023, EMS-066, EMS-067, and EMS-068 bearing the same section number. FINANCIAL AID ALERT: This cohort alone will not qualify for and may reduce eligibility for Federal Financial Aid. Contact the Financial Aid Office in the Crafton Center (CCR-121) for additional information. All students enrolled in the EMT program are required to complete a background check through Castle Branch as part of our agency and clinical partnership requirements. Students must submit a Castle Branch background check prior to participating in any clinical, ride-along, or field activities. The non-refundable fee for this service is $34, paid directly to Castle Branch during registration. Failure to complete or pass the background check may impact a student's ability to meet course and program requirements.
