  • Introduction to the study of lifespan development psychology from conception through aging. The focus is on six issues: the nature of change, continuity and discontinuity in development, the influence of genes and social context on growth, the influence of culture, race, and ethnicity on development, the effect of present experience on future outcomes, and current theory and research which contribute to an understanding of human development over the lifespan.

    • Credit Type: Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.
    • Transferability: Course credit transfers to both CSU and UC.
    • Prerequisite(s): PSYC C1000 or PSYC C1000H (formerly PSYCH 100 and PSYCH 100H).
