  • Examination of human capacity to change, adapt, and cope with a variety of circumstances over the life span. Special attention is paid to the sociocultural contexts of adjustment, the role of self understanding in adjustment, stress, adult development, careers, and family issues. A variety of theoretical perspectives will be used to review healthy and unhealthy behavior patterns as well as coping techniques for day-to-day concerns.

    • Credit Type: Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.
    • Transferability: Course credit transfers to both CSU and UC.
    • Prerequisite(s): PSYC C1000 or PSYC C1000H (formerly PSYCH 100 and PSYCH 100H).
