  • Knowledge and skills required for deep water lifeguarding, meeting the certificate requirements of the American Red Cross. This course is offered as PBSF 170 and KIN 170.

    • Credit Type: Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.
    • Transferability: Course credit transfers to CSU.
    • Prerequisite: Must be age 15 or older. 300 meters of.
    • Continuous Swim: front crawl, breaststroke or a combination of both without stopping to rest. Tread water for 2.
    • Minutes.Timed Event: swim 20 meters out to retrieve a 10 pound weight within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
