  • This course examines the influence of diversity on all domains of child development. It addresses influences such as culture, race, socio-economic class, abilities and ethnicity on children's physical cognitive and social-emotional development. Theory and research as well as practical implications for working with children and families in an early childhood setting are addressed.

    • Credit Type: Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.
    • Transferability: Course credit transfers to CSU.
    • Departmental Recommendation: Successful completion of CD 105.
