  • Music 101 develops skills in music fundamentals (scales, chords, rhythm, notation, etc.) and covers cadences, phrase structure analysis, chord function theory, and four-part voice-leading principles. The lab portion of this course develops rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic materials through ear training, sight singing, analysis, and dictation.

    • Credit Type: Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.
    • Transferability: Course credit transfers to both CSU and UC.
