  • This course in an introduction to the laws, regulations, curriculum, standards and procedures for best practice as related to child health, safety and nutrition. The key components that ensure physical health, mental health and safety for both children and staff will be identified along with the importance of collaboration with families and health professionals. There will also be a focus on integrating concepts into everyday planning and program development for children.

    • Credit Type: Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.
    • Transferability: Course credit transfers to CSU.
    • Departmental Recommendation: Successful completion of CD 105.
