  • Introduction to microbiology, emphasizing the general characteristics of microorganisms, principles of microbial growth, identification, control and the relationships between human beings and microbes. Special attention is given to infectious diseases. Recommended for students in health occupations. Surveys of bacteria, fungi, viruses and parasitic protozoans are included.

    • Credit Type: Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.
