Resources you may need during your time at Crafton Hills College or as you begin your time with us. 

Inland Regional Center- Serving individuals with developmental disabilities in San Bernardino and Riverside County

Focuses on helping students and individuals with developmental disabilities find employment. Also helps with teaching students and individuals autonomy and independence. 


Colton-Redlands-Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program

Students can gain career technical training in 40 different fields.  Support services are offered for individuals with disabilities entering the work force.  


San Bernardino County Library-Adult Literacy Program 

Helps adults learn to read or improve reading skills through one-on-one tutoring. Various locations in San Bernardino County at the public libraries.  


International Dyslexia Association

A society dedicated to offering support to people with dyslexia and their families.  Also has information on where to find a professional to get learning disability testing.  


Disability Rights Legal Center

The Disability Rights Legal Center has two locations in Los Angeles and LaVerne, California. Primarily, they act as advocates for people with disabilities in work settings and try to eliminate legal barriers that keep disabled individuals in poverty. They also educate individuals on their rights and they will often give free legal representation for disabled individuals.  


Employment & Community Options

Non-profit organization that educates and empowers low income adults with developmental disabilities to achieve goals and reach their potential. Services offered include banking, budgeting, money management, computer and writing skills, resumes and interviews, nutrition and exercise, and personal responsibility. Job development, integrated employment, independent living services, micro-enterprise, services for individuals on the autism spectrum and adult aging. San Bernardino County Offices housed in Redlands, CA.  


Mercy House 

Mercy House is located in Ontario, CA with general headquarters in Santa Ana, CA. Their goal is to provide housing and supportive services for individuals in need. Examples of programs they offer include Assisi House (transitional housing), Guadalupe Residence (affordable permanent housing), Trinity House (transitional shelter), and Ontario Temporary Homeless Services Area, which are all located in the Inland Empire. 


San Bernardino County Regional Occupational Program

Assists students with career technical training, providing advanced support for students with disabilities. Serves 16 school districts. 


Vocational Improvement Program Inc. 

Assists individuals with disabilities with in house contract work and trial community placements. Works closely with Department of Rehabilitation clients for job placement and vocational evaluation. Office located in San Bernardino, CA. Some programs have a cost associated with them.
