Academic Distinction and Graduation

Students graduating with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or above at the end of the term in which they have applied for graduation are recognized as graduating with distinction.

Graduating with Distinction: Students who graduate with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 - 3.99.

Graduating with Highest Distinction: Students who graduate with a cumulative GPA of 4.0.

Distinction at Commencement:

Students with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher at the end of the preceding fall term will be eligible to participate in the Commencement Ceremony with distinction. However, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher at the end of the term in which they have applied to graduate to be eligible for the above listed distinction classifications. These students will have a notation added to their transcripts indicating such and are eligible to purchase and wear a gold sash at the Commencement.
