Stopping Asian American Pacific Islander Hate During COVID-19 Presentation

March 16, 12 p.m to 1 p.m.

The Asian Pacific Islander Month committee is hosting a presentation to discuss how Asian Americans are resisting the racism and violence they are facing in the current moment.

The STEM Robotics and Robotic Art Competition is underway!

There is $1,000 of prize money available, and this competition is for EVERYONE, so submit an entry! No need to have prior robotics knowledge! We have free Arduino kits available for pickup (email jtownsend@craftonhills.edu) and free robotics build workshops every Friday from 10 am-12 p.m. with UCR engineering students who are experienced in robotics waiting to answer your questions, introduce you to robotics, or walk you through any problems you may have. Access the workshops through the workshop page or see them in the Canvas calendar (make sure you select to view the STEM calendar so our events show up on your calendar).

A conversation with Marshall Elfstrand, software engineer and Technology Evangelist at Apple. He will share about the field of technology and software engineering, in particular, his work at Apple, his educational journey, and his advice to community college students interested in working at a world-class company like Apple. The interview will end with a Q&A session.
