Sent on behalf of Crafton Hills College President, Dr. Kevin Horan.
Dear Campus Community,
As concerns about the CoronaVirus (COVID-19) continue to spread, Crafton Hills College is closely watching public health notices from the Governor’s Office and state health officials.
For now, the official guidance comes from the California Department of Public Health and are summarized at https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CID/DCDC/Pages/Immunization/nCOV2019.aspx
We encourage you to review the information contained in this link.
Yesterday, the California Department of Public Health Director Dr. Sonia Angell said that the current public threat in California is low. We will keep you posted if the situation worsens.
As with all respiratory illnesses (like the flu), we encourage good personal hygiene.
The California Department of Public Health recommends the following steps to prevent the spread of all respiratory viruses:
- Wash hands often with soap and water.
- Avoid touching eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick are all ways to reduce the risk of infection with a number of different viruses.
- Stay away from work, school, or other people if you become sick with respiratory illness
symptoms like fever and cough.
