A student standing in front of a few small trees.
Is there a limit to your knowledge?

Why choose this program?

What is the meaning of life? Does God exist? Should you fear death? Do you have free will? Philosophy asks some of the biggest questions that have ever been asked – covering everything from ethical behavior and politics to metaphysics and science. Join us as we explore the topics that have puzzled mankind forever.

What will I experience?

  • Gain an appreciation for thinking clearly and thoroughly reviewing information to identify, discuss, explain and analyze philosophical assumptions and inconsistencies
  • Learn the foundations to reading critically, analyzing and assessing arguments, discerning hidden assumptions, constructing logically tight arguments, and expressing yourself clearly and precisely in both speech and writing.

What opportunities might it lead to?

An associate of arts in philosophy degree can prepare you with highly marketable, highly transferable skills that are a stepping stone toward most career paths. It is also the foundation for four-year college studies in philosophy and a variety of liberal arts fields.
