Dear Roadrunners,
There is a growing sense of
excitement across campus as we prepare
for Commencement on May 15. This time of
year always brings a special energy as
our students prepare to cross the stage
and begin their next chapters. Even
during this busy season, our commitment
to community and celebration remains
strong. Throughout April and into May, we
continue to honor Gaypril, National Arab
American Heritage Month, and Asian
American and Pacific Islander Heritage
Month. The buzz on campus right now
reflects how busy so many of us are, but
also how rewarding this work can be as we
support our students and celebrate the
many cultures and identities that enrich
our college.
I am also pleased to share
that Crafton Hills College has reached a
significant milestone in student
enrollment. The 2025 2026 unduplicated
headcount stands at 11,137 students, an
increase of 9.9% from last year. This
growth is the result of the collective
efforts of faculty, staff, and
administrators working together. It is a
tremendous accomplishment that reflects
our shared commitment to student success.
Finally, this year marks the
largest group of retirements in a single
year at Crafton Hills College, with 14
dedicated colleagues concluding their
careers with us. We are grateful for
their years of service, leadership, and
care for our students and campus
community. A Retirement and Tenure
Celebration will be held on May 7 from
2:30 4:30 p.m. in the Barbara L. Smith
Event Center. I hope you will join us in
recognizing these individuals and
celebrating their lasting contributions.
I wish you all continued
success as we finish the semester strong
and look forward to celebrating together
at Commencement.
Best regards,
|
