Course Name : FIRET-115

Course Title : Firefighter I Basic Training Academy

Course Description : This course trains students to possess the necessary competencies required for the California State Fire Training Firefighter I Certification as well as the Basic Wildland Fire Academy Certification.

Additional Course Information

Credit Type : Earned units for this course are applicable to an Associate Degree.

Transferability : Course credit transfers to CSU.

Prerequisite : Admission to the Academy and FIRET 100 and FIRET 101 and EMS 020 or successful completion of the NREMT (National Registry Examination for the Emergency Medical Technician) or currently certified as an EMT in California.

Corequisite : FIRET 049.

Departmental Recommendations : Eligibility for ENGL 101 and eligibility for MATH 095 or higher and successful completion of FIRET 902X4.
