IRS Data Retrieval - Dependent

The best way to verify income is by using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool that is part of FAFSA on the Web. If the student’s parent(s) has not already used the tool, the parent and the student should go to FAFSA.gov, log in to the student’s FAFSA record, select “Make FAFSA Corrections,” and navigate to the Financial Information section of the form. From there, follow the instructions to determine if the parent(s) is eligible to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to transfer IRS income tax information into the student’s FAFSA. If so, click on "Link to IRS".  Make sure you enter the address that shows on your 1040 tax return, for the tax year requested. If you need assistance, please contact the Financial Aid office.

If you are unable to transfer your taxes and need to order your Tax Return Transcript, W-2 Transcript, or a Non Filing letter from the IRS, please call 1-844-545-5640.

You can request to have the form(s) faxed, mailed or pick them up.  The nearest IRS Office is located at:
