Jonathan Townsend


Jonathan has worked in higher education for more than fourteen years. He holds a BA in English literature and an MA in Cultural Studies and Media Studies. For ten years, Jonathan oversaw Crafton Hills’ writing center, and for three years, he coordinated the Tutoring Center. He has also taught English for more than five years at Crafton Hills and California Baptist University. Jonathan currently serves in the High Tech Center at Crafton Hills, where he works with assistive technology and mobility services. He is working on a doctorate in Educational Change and Leadership at USC, and is passionate about community colleges and their role in providing equitable education pathways to all groups in society.
