CalWORKS
CalWORKs stands for California Work Opportunities & Responsibilities to Kids. This program is a statewide employment initiative designed to assist students who are on public assistance. It is a program that provides EDUCATION, TRAINING AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES to eligible students.
The goal of the CalWORKs program is to help students receiving cash aid from the counties to become independent. CalWORKs provides short-term educational training programs designed to assist students in obtaining employment.
