The National Day of Service and Remembrance (Patriot Day) is held on 9/11 annually to honor and pay respect to the innocent victims who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and the heroes who risked their lives to save them, as well as their families and loved ones, through remembrance and service activities. Since 9/11 falls on a Sunday this year, Chancellor Bruce Baron is inviting those who choose to voluntarily participate to gather for a moment of silence at the flagpoles of their respect sites on Friday, 9/ 9, at 8:46 a.m.
