Week of March 2nd

Project Activities:

PE Complex

  • Pour concrete slab inside Building
  • Install fence post and footings
  • Fencing inside pool area
  • Veneer installation

 

  • Delivery trucks/ increased traffic

New Science Building

  • Grading and excavation operation- keying and fill operation to establish grade at mid-valley
  • Pre-construction meeting for underground utility subcontractor

 

  • Parking lot F and ADA access ramp are closed
  • Construction noise from on-site activity
  • Dust due to grading operation will be continually controlled by the contractor 

New Crafton Center

  • Friday 2/21/14: Construction Job walk & meeting at LRC #231 from 11:30 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.

 

  • Reduced parking availability
  • No citations to be issued between 10:30 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. Campus wide

OE2 Building

  • Underground utility installation
  • East wing retaining wall footing excavation, rebar installation and forming
  • Temporary non-accessible pedestrian walkway from Lot I to Lot H
  • Bookstore deliveries will be coordinated with M&O
  • Construction noise from on-site activity

LRC Temporary Parking Lot

  • If rain prohibits the scheduled tree demolition on Saturday March 1st, tree demolition will occur Saturday March 8th.

 

  • On walkway south of SSA and lower level of Classroom Building there will be construction vehicle traffic.

 

Week of March 9th

Project Activities:

Impact:

PE Complex

  • Concrete pour on roof ( from inside fence area, no obstruction to parking lot)
  • Form for stairs and installing rebars in the pool area
  • Casting concrete for stairs and fence foundation in the pool area

 

  • Delivery trucks/ increased traffic

New Science Building

  • Grading and excavation operation- keying and fill operation to establish grade at upper-valley
  • Commence sewer line verification and connection outside the current contractor yellow fencing area- north of CHS building and lawn area. New fence will be installed north of CHS building for public safety.   

 

  • Parking lot F and ADA access ramp are closed
  • Construction noise from on-site activity
  • Delivery trucks/ increased traffic
  • CHS north pedestrian walkway access will be closed on March 10 thru March 21. Pedestrians will be directed to detour. CHS north-east staircase will not be closed. Directional and informational signage will be posted on the fence.

OE2 Building

  • Underground utility installation
  • East wing retaining wall footing excavation, rebar installation, forming and concrete pour

 

  • Temporary non-accessible pedestrian walkway from Lot I to Lot H
  • Bookstore deliveries will be coordinated with M&O
  • Construction noise from on-site activity
  • Concrete trucks on campus drive during east wing retaining wall footing pour. Proper traffic control will in place.

LRC Temporary Parking Lot

  • Contractor mobilization
  • Initial clear and grubbing

  • Increased construction traffic on fire access road by LRC
  • Construction noise from on-site activity
  • Parking spaces around LRC generator are planned to be closed to ensure safety during construction. Temporary drop-off and pick-up parking will be accommodated.

Week of March 16th

  • Installing fencing material in the pool area

  • Removal of Crane

New Science Building

  • Over-excavation for lab footing and protect the slope at OE-1
  • Commence underground utility installation of stormwater system at south
  • Continue sewer line verification and connection outside the current contractor yellow fencing area- north of CHS building. New fence will be installed north of CHS building for public safety.

  • Construction noise from on-site activity
  • Delivery trucks/ increased traffic

  • Access to IT Department will be limited, but maintained during operation if this work takes place
