Crafton Hills College Construction Update 9/5/11:
We will make every effort to assure the accuracy and completeness of these updates; however, there will be some changes and adjustments as construction progresses.
How Will Construction Activity Affect You?
- Construction personnel and equipment will be on campus drive periodically throughout construction. Please proceed with caution.
- With construction activity on-going safety is always a major priority for both staff and students. With this in mind we wanted to again ensure that both staff and students remain outside of the construction activity areas that have been established. These areas are clearly donated with temporary fencing. If access is needed within any construction areas proper notification, escort and safety measures (hard hats, vests, etc.) are required.
- Campus Drive is open.
- Parking lots open: CDC, A1, A, B, C, D, F, G, H, I, and the Aquatic Center.
- Parking lots closed: E and overflow.
- Hydroseed will be placed in landscape areas adjacent to parking lots F, G & H late next week. During this installation a few parking spaces will be impacted. Areas will be sectioned off and kept to a minimum. Any other impact to pathway/walkways will be coordinated.
- Temporary fencing around old library demolition project site is in-place. West-half of the main quad and pathway’s/walkway’s directly north and south of the old library will be closed.
- Heavy demolition at the old library is on-going. Noise and vibration will be heard throughout campus. Full safety measures will be exercised during this operation to ensure the safety of the staff and students.
- Parking spaces will be impacted up at the Aquatic Center parking lot periodically with the on-going CRF landscaping project. Areas will be sectioned off and kept to a minimum.
