Crafton Hills College Construction Update 4/4/11:

We will make every effort to assure the accuracy and completeness of these updates; however, there will be some changes and adjustments as construction progresses. 

HOW WILL CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITY AFFECT YOU?

  • Construction personnel and equipment will be on campus drive periodically throughout construction. Please proceed with caution.
  • The Temporary parking lot (gravel lot near Lot A) is open as an overflow “day use only” lot. Pedestrian access to campus is the designated striped walkway along the southern side of campus drive.
  • Parking Lots A & B are closed to staff and students.
  • Access to the tennis courts is from the south gates.
  • Access to soccer field is routed via the walkway south and west of the tennis courts. This route will continue for the duration of the MSA project.
  • Parking spaces/stalls on campus drive adjacent to the MSA project site are closed to staff and students.
  • Tree demolition will be taking place throughout the campus (majority of work will be in and around parking lots). While this operation is taking place a few parking stalls will be closed down from time to time. Full safety measures will be exercised for this operation.

Parking, ADA Access & Lighting Improvements (PAL)

Campus wide (majority of work in and around parking lots)

  • Tree demolition
  • Clear & grub

Lot A – Parking Lot A

  • Asphalt slurry
  • Striping
  • Form & pour flatwork
  • Pour electrical equipment pad walls
  • Installation of lights along flatwork & stairs
  • Handrail installation
  • Landscape installation
  • Punch list

Lot B – Parking Lot B

  • Subgrade preparation and aggregate base installation
  • Form and pour flatwork
  • Landscape installation

Math and Science Annex (MSA)

  • Excavation and forming for footings and foundations for modular classrooms
  • Trenching and installation of gas line 

Week of April 11th
